Module-AR Win Hull Royal Infirmary Project

  • Client – Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
  • Location – Hull.
  • Occupational Therapy & Medical Day Unit.
  • 14 No. modules.

We are pleased to announce our latest project with Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The contract is to provide our local Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary, with a single-storey off-site modular construction to be installed on a custom built steel framed gantry on top of an existing Hospital building.

The structure is to be utilised as an Occupational Therapy & Medical Day Unit. The 14 No. of 7.5m x 3m modules that are owned by the Trust are to be removed from site and transported back to the Module-AR factory. The modules are then to be refurbished into a modern new building and delivered back to Hull Royal Infirmary for installation using a 50t crane.

The building will feature Goosewing Grey painted Plastisol (plastic coated steel) external cladding, fascia & plinth and 2 No. steel external doors coloured Navy to ensure the Module-AR Limited building matches the existing ground floor structure. Included in the modular solution is a new 30 year BBA Accredited roof, double glazed UPVC lockable windows with restrictors and an external fire exit staircase for a robust, hard wearing and secure exterior.

Internally the Occupational Therapy & Medical Day Unit consists of Office areas, a Treatment room, Clean Utility room and WC’s. Each room will be internally fitted out to match the existing nearby hospital buildings and to ensure the building functions to the same standards as a traditionally constructed structure.

This project came to fruition due to Module-AR Limited’s experience within the Healthcare sector, our enviable reputation based upon our ability to form highly successful cohesive relationships with our customers & supply chain, and due to the fact that we comply with latest building regulations including Part L2A, DDA, HTM & HBN.
